Our Story

 

ERIK CARLSON IS A 1993 GRADUATE OF THE UNIVERSITY OF MAINE, ORONO WITH A B.S. IN FORESTRY AND A CONCENTRATION IN TIMBER UTILIZATION.  UPON GRADUATION, ERIK WORKED FOR A VARIETY OF FOREST LANDOWNERS AND FORESTRY COMPANIES IN MAINE. DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS, ERIK WORKED FOR THE US FOREST SERVICE AS A WILDLAND FIRE-FIGHTER.  THE MAJORITY OF THAT TIME WAS SPENT WITH THE BITTERROOT HOTSHOT CREW, BASED OUT OF DARBY, MT.



ERIK IS A MAINE LICENSED FORESTER, A LICENSED ARBORIST, AND A CERTIFIED LOGGING PROFESSIONAL (CLP). HE IS ALSO CURRENTLY THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR THE CLP PROGRAM, A CERTIFIED TREE FARM INSPECTOR, A NEWLY ELECTED MEMBER OF THE MAINE WOODLAND OWNERS BOARD OF DIRECTORS, AND A STEWARDSHIP FORESTER WITH THE MAINE FOREST SERVICE.


ERIK LIVES IN EDGECOMB, MAINE WITH HIS TWO DAUGHTERS AND THEIR BLACK LAB SULA.
